Colin, Michelle and their team really did provide us with a Journey in the design and execution of a program for a group of young women focused on individual strengths, teamwork and leadership. Consultation in the crafting of an experience that captured key objectives was thorough, bespoke and delivered with utmost care and detail. They were open to flexibility both in planning and execution, using our staff as guideposts to improve any aspect of the program once it was underway. Our young people walked away from KFA with a heightened sense of self, a deeper appreciation of their own wellbeing and a bag full of long lasting memories. We would like to thank the Journey team for embracing our group, displaying adaptability around program specifics and cultivating a safe environment where young people were able to explore, experience and flourish. Thanks guys!
I would like to thank Col, Michelle and the team for making our company’s workshop an absolute success. Col was there to assist every step of the way throughout the planning process to ensure our requirements were all met. He went above and beyond to help throughout the two days and made sure that everything ran seamlessly. Col ran two activities for us “The Hive” and “Wildergaining” and this was selected based on our company’s objectives. These were definitely met and the best part is the attendees had so much fun participating. The food was of great quality, the facilities exceeded expectations and best of all the staff were an absolute delight to deal with. I cannot thank them enough for all their assistance and would not hesitate to recommend to anyone else. We look forward to organising another workshop in the near future at the camp.
I took a combination of two offices for a two day camp at the Kinglake Ranges Wilderness Camp with the idea of a team bonding, self-learning and awareness session. We met Col to discuss what his team could provide and walked away with a definite interest. I had some reservations but trusted him and his team would deliver and so we went ahead. At the completion of the two day camp my expectations had been blown out of the water. I believe Col undersold his ability to stretch our team and I couldn’t be happier with the results. Every aspect of the two days was managed in perfect manner. From the first moment it was fun filled, action packed, thought provoking and ultimately a great investment for our team. Col and his team bought the best out of so many of my team, from new team members to more established, from shy to outgoing members and from reluctant to fully engaged. There was never a dull moment (a concern I had originally) and everything was arranged in a sequential order for the benefit of all. I couldn’t more highly recommend Col and his team. Thanks for a great experience and the awareness for growth personally and professionally in the future.
The County Fire Authority is a volunteer and community based fire and emergency service organisation. Our 60,000 members work together with our community to keep Victorian’s safe from fire and other emergencies. As part of the development of our current and future volunteer leaders the Chief Officer facilitates an 8 month leadership program for 20 leaders from across the state. Colin and the team at Kinglake Ranges Wilderness Camp provided superb hospitality for the third and final session of the Chief Officer’s Leadership Program in June 2014. A homely, beautiful and professional space in the Leadership Centre provided an inspirational area for participants to learn, interact and listen. The food was amazing, completely unlike traditional camp food. The accommodation was warm, simple and comfortable. Colin facilitated the Tree Talks session throughout the program which provided an opportunity for participant’s to step outside their comforts and actually listen to what is being said. We also went for an early morning bushwalk and meditated in the bush. Whilst we’d undertaken meditation in previous session, many of the participants commented on the difference it makes to sit in the bush rather than on a chair inside. Our experience and the ambience of Kinglake Ranges Wilderness Camp has lead us to rebook for all three sessions of the Chief Officer’s Leadership Program in 2014/15. I would recommend this beautiful and inspiring location to all companies, groups and families who are looking for somewhere comfortable, hospitable and close to nature. Thank you to Colin and your team for a wonderful weekend.
In bringing together our national team each year we have always included a ‘team building’ activity in proceedings. This year we decided to dedicate the full two days to a focus on team building. We could not be more delighted by the experience and results provided by Colin and his fabulous team. It makes our previous team building efforts look a bit amateurish and has provided a personal development experience that everyone in the team has thoroughly enjoyed and will value for some time to come. I am sure we will be back! —-Participant “It was awesome. Best corporate team building event I’ve been on!”—-
On behalf of Kangaroo Flat Netballers I would like to thank Col and his wonderful staff for our pre season trip to Kinglake Wilderness camp. Right from my first contact with Col he was very helpful and organised. Our day was fantastic with the girls enjoying a range of activities ranging from physical tasks like the rock climbing wall and rope wall to ice breaker and team building activities. The afternoon session saw the girls compete the wildergaining mission which involved all team members having a role to play in solving clues and completing many fun tasks. All players enjoyed the day and got alot out if it. This trip to the camp has provided a real bonding experience for all of our netballers. Finally the food at the camp is amazing. I would highly recommend Kinglake wilderness Camp to any sporting group or school group wanting a well run fun experience.
Journey and KRWC provided NAB Credit Risk & Collections Talent Team with a two-day workshop aimed at identifying strengths and building relationships within the team. The Journey team were fantastic in meeting our objectives for the workshop. Both before and during the event they remained continuously flexible and accommodating to any changes made. The team members were knowledgeable and passionate about their community and were happy to share this with us. The environment allowed the perfect setting to take people out of their comfort zone with a range of activities that enabled individuals’ strengths and personalities to shine through. The activities provided both physical and mental challenges, including a “survivor” theme, navigation skills, and water ropes course to mention just a few. Sharing our strengths and having others endorse them provided a very powerful and humbling experience. Overall, Journey showed great passion and enthusiasm for the challenges and our team. It enabled an encouraging and supportive environment that facilitated the team in reaching the objectives of the event.
“Journey and KRWC provided OMC with a fantastic setting for our Annual Retreat. As company CEO I have been running these Retreats now for nearly a decade at various locations, and the universal feedback I received was that this was clearly the best. Colin, Michelle and Alley were an enormous contribution to this in providing a great framework for our Team to examine ourselves and our relationships with our colleagues from both a personal and work perspective. We all felt we learned much more in depth about each other over the course of the Retreat and Journey was a key mechanism for this, providing an agenda, environment and manner that enabled us all to move outside our comfort zone without restraint. Further to the strengths/awareness program provided by Colin and Alley, the facilities and surrounding environment are both first class and inspirational, and Colin and the Team should be very proud of their efforts to rebuild such a facility within the amazing bushland that also caused them and their community so much tragedy 4 years ago. Lastly but definitely not least, the catering was fantastic with universal aplomb to the quantity and quality of food served by Michelle and the Team! I highly recommend Journey to any other corporate company wanting to get away and to strengthen the awareness and bonding within yourself and your colleagues in a very picturesque and motivating environment”
“On behalf of all the team here at Spotlight Marketing I would like to thank you for a fantastic couple of days at your beautiful place in Kinglake West. Our team of 33 is a newly formed team and the activities, games and general atmosphere that you create was so perfect to help us with our team building. I have had so many comments of thanks from the guys here who all said that it was one of the best things they have ever done – it sure beats a boardroom power point presentation too! Thanks also to your great team – great leadership, direction, food and most importantly a heap of fun for all. Again, we really appreciate everything that you have done for us in giving us a unique and memorable experience!”
